Ryuk is a mobile application developed by Fefa Studio. The app provides structured multilingual reference information about countries, leaders, historical events, conflicts, and conflict timelines.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Ryuk, we may collect or process the following information:

• Account information: email address, user ID, and authentication provider data needed to create and manage your account.
• App preferences: selected language, theme, notification settings, quiet hours, and similar settings.
• Followed items: countries, conflicts, or other in-app items you choose to follow.
• Push notification data: push notification tokens and related delivery settings, used only to send notifications you have enabled.
• Feedback content: messages you submit through bug report or feature request forms.
• Technical data: limited technical logs or diagnostics needed to keep the app secure, reliable, and functional.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• provide and maintain the app;
• authenticate users and sync account-based settings;
• show followed countries, conflicts, and personalized app content;
• send push notifications when enabled by the user;
• respond to bug reports, feature requests, and support messages;
• protect the app from misuse and improve reliability.

4. Third-Party Services

Ryuk uses third-party services to operate the app:

• Supabase: authentication, database, storage of user profile settings, follows, feedback, and notification preferences.
• Expo Push Service / Firebase Cloud Messaging: delivery of push notifications on supported devices.
• Google Play services: app distribution, installation, diagnostics, and platform services required by Android.
• Ko-fi: an optional external support link. Donations are voluntary and do not unlock premium app features.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Push Notifications

Ryuk may send notifications about followed conflicts, added conflict entries, leader changes, leader deaths, or status and timeline changes. You can disable notifications or individual notification categories in the app settings. If notifications are disabled, Ryuk attempts to remove the associated push token from our database.

6. Data Retention

We keep account data and app preferences for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the app. Feedback messages and technical logs may be retained for troubleshooting, security, and product improvement. You can request deletion of your account-related data by contacting us.

7. Your Choices

• You can sign out of the app at any time.
• You can change language, theme, follows, and notification settings in the app.
• You can request access, correction, or deletion of your account-related data by contacting us.

8. Children

Ryuk is not designed for children. The app contains historical and geopolitical reference information, including conflicts and wars, and is intended for a general mature audience.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

10. International Processing

Ryuk and its service providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence. By using the app, you understand that information may be processed where our service providers operate.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice in the app where appropriate.
